Also known as Tasmanian Oak and Alpine Ash, Victorian Ash is a hardwood that grows in the Alpine regions of Victoria, Tasmania and NSW.
It’s commonly used for structural framing, however it’s low durability (class 4) means it’s better suited to interior framing, joinery, and flooring. Victorian Ash grows fast and has become a plantation timber.
